Aims
Applied Discovery and Translational Science publishes scholarship that advances knowledge, methods, evidence, applications or informed debate in the field represented by the journal title and description.
In scope
- Original research with clear methods, results and interpretation.
- Substantive reviews and evidence syntheses.
- Methods, technical, data, case and application studies where appropriate.
- Interdisciplinary work with a clear connection to the journal.
Out-of-scope, insufficiently developed or integrity-deficient submissions may be declined before external review.
What editors look for
- A clear connection to the journal’s readership and subject area.
- A defined research question, objective or scholarly contribution.
- Methods and reporting adequate for editorial and peer evaluation.
- Conclusions that are proportionate to the evidence.
- Complete ethics, authorship, funding, conflict and data disclosures where applicable.
Interdisciplinary submissions
Interdisciplinary work is welcome when the manuscript explains its relevance to the journal clearly and provides enough disciplinary context for specialist and adjacent readers.
